About the Voice of AIDS Project
The Voice of AIDS project is a community intervention focusing on young gay and bisexual men, ages 15-25. This project is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is the follow-up intervention to the CITY project, a five year study on the behaviors, knowledge, and attitudes regarding sex and HIV of young men who have sex with men (YMSM).
The main objectives of this project are to get YMSM to:
- Practice SAFER sex
- Get tested for HIV
The Voice of AIDS Project is a multi-level project involving community education through workshops and awareness through advertising and marketing. Workshops will be provided to young men at Affirmations Lesbian Gay Community Center and Community Health Awareness Group (C-HAG).
Please visit our workshop schedule.
Another main piece of this project is our media campaign. Our media campaign includes outdoor billboards, posters, brochures, this website, and promotional materials such as t-shirts, drink coasters, balloons, and much more.
Promotional items are available for purchase.
